Responsibilities
- Develop and implement public health strategies aligned with county and state guidelines
- Manage grant-funded programs focusing on maternal health, vaccination access, and chronic disease prevention
- Oversee data collection and analysis for community health assessments
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Liaise with community organizations, healthcare providers, and government agencies
- Supervise program staff and evaluate intervention effectiveness
- Prepare reports for county commissioners and state health departments
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health program management
- Valid Michigan Public Health Administrator certification
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, or R)
- Experience securing and managing federal/state grants
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and public health regulations
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work during public health emergencies including weekends/nights
