Responsibilities
- Design and implement public health intervention programs targeting chronic disease prevention
- Oversee $2M+ annual grant budgets and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform policy recommendations
- Lead cross-departmental task forces on health equity initiatives
- Manage team of 8+ public health specialists and interns
- Prepare reports for CDC, SAMHSA, and local government stakeholders
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years experience in government/public health administration
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible
- Expertise in grant writing and federal compliance (OMB, HUD)
- Strong knowledge of Indiana public health statutes (IC 16-41)
- Experience with Epi-Info or similar surveillance systems
- Valid Indiana driver's license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools
