Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive public health emergency response protocols
- Coordinate with FEMA, CDC, and local health departments during crisis activations
- Conduct vulnerability assessments for high-risk populations and critical infrastructure
- Lead multi-agency tabletop exercises and full-scale emergency drills
- Manage the distribution of emergency medical supplies and PPE during disasters
- Prepare federal grant applications and compliance reports for emergency funding
- Train public health staff on incident command systems and emergency communication protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health or emergency management
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300) or equivalent
- Proven experience developing emergency response plans for natural disasters or pandemics
- Expertise in grant writing for federal/state emergency preparedness programs
