Responsibilities
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for public health crises
- Coordinate multi-agency drills including hospitals, law enforcement, and community organizations
- Analyze epidemiological data to predict outbreak trajectories and allocate resources
- Train 500+ frontline responders annually on PPE protocols and containment procedures
- Manage $2M+ federal grant budgets for emergency infrastructure projects
- Lead incident command center operations during declared emergencies
- Prepare federal compliance reports for HHS and OMB
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or Emergency Management (MPH/MEM preferred)
- 5+ years experience in public health crisis response or disaster coordination
- Incident Command System (ICS) certification at the 300 level or higher
- Expertise in NIMS framework and HSEEP evaluation methodologies
- Proficiency in ESRI GIS for mapping vulnerability zones
- Demonstrated success securing federal grants (HRSA, ASPR, CDBG)
- CA Emergency Management credential or equivalent
