Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health data to identify emerging trends and inform strategic initiatives
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for City Council and community partners
- Lead cross-departmental projects addressing health equity and accessibility
- Manage grant-funded programs ensuring compliance and measurable outcomes
- Present findings to diverse audiences including elected officials and community groups
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local public health regulations
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to departmental innovation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health policy analysis or program management
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (R, SAS, or SPSS)
- Proven track record of translating data into actionable policy recommendations
- Experience with grant writing and federal/state compliance requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
