Responsibilities
- Design and conduct epidemiological investigations for disease outbreaks and health trends
- Analyze public health datasets using statistical software (R, SAS, or Python)
- Develop evidence-based recommendations for health policy and intervention programs
- Collaborate with community partners to implement health education initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders and policymakers
- Monitor emerging public health threats and coordinate emergency response protocols
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health data analysis or epidemiology
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software and data visualization tools
- Valid California driver's license and ability to travel county-wide
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with bilingual abilities preferred
- Experience with grant writing and program evaluation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) designation highly desirable
