Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health data using advanced statistical methods to identify emerging health threats and trends
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for federal and state health initiatives
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing public health intervention programs
- Prepare comprehensive reports and briefings for congressional stakeholders and agency leadership
- Collaborate with international health organizations on global health security initiatives
- Manage multi-million dollar federal grant programs and ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Mentor junior staff and train public health professionals on data analysis methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health analysis or epidemiological research
- Proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, STATA) and data visualization tools
- Expertise in federal grant management and budget administration
- Demonstrated experience with public health surveillance systems and reporting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Active U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Knowledge of Healthy People 2030 objectives and CDC's core health priorities
