Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of food establishments, childcare facilities, and public pools
- Investigate health complaints and enforce state health regulations
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate compliance records
- Educate business owners on sanitation best practices and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with epidemiologists during disease outbreak investigations

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, or related field
- Valid Tennessee Public Health Inspector certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Minimum 2 years experience in regulatory compliance or environmental health
- Strong knowledge of FDA Food Code and Tennessee health regulations
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
