Responsibilities
- Coordinate county-wide emergency response operations during public health crises
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness protocols for diverse scenarios
- Collaborate with state agencies, hospitals, and community organizations
- Lead crisis communication strategies for diverse populations
- Analyze public health data to inform emergency response decisions
- Manage grant-funded emergency response programs
- Train staff on emergency response procedures and equipment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health emergency response
- Certification in Emergency Management (CEM or equivalent)
- Proven crisis communication experience with diverse communities
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting public health data
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments with tight deadlines
- Experience with grant management and reporting
- Valid Minnesota driver's license
