Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive emergency response plans for public health crises
- Coordinate multi-agency disaster preparedness drills and real-time incident responses
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for Miami-Dade communities
- Manage resource allocation during public health emergencies
- Train public health staff and community responders on emergency protocols
- Prepare detailed reports for government stakeholders and media communications
- Oversee compliance with FEMA and CDC emergency guidelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in crisis response or public health coordination
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent designation preferred
- Proven expertise in developing emergency action plans and SOPs
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal disaster response frameworks
- Exceptional communication skills with crisis management experience
- Ability to obtain security clearance for government operations
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
