Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response operations during public health crises
- Develop and maintain county-wide emergency preparedness protocols and action plans
- Lead community outreach initiatives to educate residents on emergency preparedness
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform strategic response decisions
- Manage resource allocation and logistics for emergency deployment
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local health authorities
- Conduct post-incident reviews and implement improvement strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent designation required
- Expertise in developing emergency operations plans (EOPs)
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in GIS mapping tools
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams during crises
- Knowledge of NIMS/ICS frameworks and FEMA guidelines
