Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Coordinate multi-agency disaster response efforts including FEMA, hospitals, and community partners
- Lead public awareness campaigns during health emergencies
- Manage emergency supply chains and resource allocation
- Analyze incident data to refine response strategies
- Train staff and community volunteers in emergency procedures
- Prepare federal grant applications and compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 3+ years experience in public health emergency response
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent credential
- Experience with incident command systems (ICS) and NIMS protocols
- Strong grant writing and budget management skills
- Excellent crisis communication abilities
- Valid Kentucky driver's license
- Ability to work flexible hours during emergencies
