Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Coordinate with FEMA, CDC, and Virginia Department of Health during disaster scenarios
- Lead community vaccination and testing operations during outbreaks
- Manage a $2M+ emergency preparedness budget and resource allocation
- Train 50+ first responders and healthcare personnel in crisis protocols
- Conduct post-incident reviews and update response strategies
- Liaise with city council and media during public health emergencies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 5+ years experience in public health crisis response or emergency management
- Current Virginia Public Health Emergency Coordinator certification
- Expertise in NIMS/ICS frameworks and FEMA incident command systems
- Proven track record of managing large-scale public health initiatives
- Strong data analysis skills for real-time decision-making
- Ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance within 90 days
