Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive public health emergency preparedness plans for natural disasters and health crises
- Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies during emergency response activations
- Lead public health risk assessments and surveillance activities for emerging threats
- Train and mobilize emergency response teams and community health workers
- Manage emergency resource allocation and supply chain logistics
- Develop crisis communication strategies for diverse community stakeholders
- Conduct post-incident reviews and update emergency protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Valid Indiana driver's license with clean record
- Incident Command System (ICS) certification (FEMA 100/200)
- Proven ability to coordinate multi-agency partnerships under pressure
- Strong knowledge of NIMS and public health emergency frameworks
- Experience with emergency resource management and logistics
