Responsibilities
- Lead crisis response operations for public health emergencies including natural disasters, disease outbreaks, and bioterrorism incidents
- Develop and maintain emergency response protocols in compliance with CDC and Louisiana Department of Health standards
- Coordinate multi-agency resource deployment including medical supplies, personnel, and communication systems
- Conduct community outreach and public education campaigns during emergency situations
- Manage data collection and reporting for situational awareness and decision-making
- Train and supervise emergency response teams and volunteer networks
- Ensure compliance with federal grant requirements for public health emergency funding
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300) or higher
- Proven ability to coordinate multi-agency partnerships under high-pressure conditions
- Expertise in developing emergency preparedness plans and tabletop exercises
- Strong knowledge of Louisiana public health regulations and FEMA guidelines
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse community stakeholders
- Ability to work 24/7 during declared emergencies with minimal notice
