Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans for natural disasters and public health emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency disaster response operations with FEMA, CDC, and local partners
- Conduct community vulnerability assessments and targeted outreach programs
- Manage emergency supply chains and resource allocation during crisis events
- Train public health staff and community volunteers on emergency protocols
- Analyze post-incident data to improve response strategies and mitigation plans
- Lead public communication during emergencies to ensure accurate information dissemination
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 3+ years experience in public health emergency response or disaster management
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300) or equivalent
- Experience with FEMA grant management and compliance
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in GIS mapping tools
- Exceptional cross-agency collaboration and stakeholder management abilities
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and ability to work irregular hours during emergencies
- Demonstrated crisis communication and public speaking skills
