Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health incidents (disease outbreaks, natural disasters)
- Develop and execute crisis communication strategies for diverse audiences
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform intervention strategies
- Train healthcare partners and community responders on emergency procedures
- Collaborate with FEMA, CDC, and local agencies during multi-jurisdictional incidents
- Manage grant-funded emergency preparedness programs
- Conduct after-action reviews and improve response frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in public health emergency response or crisis coordination
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent credential
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and emergency management software
- Demonstrated success in multi-agency collaboration
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to work 24/7 during emergency activations
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable
