Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive emergency response plans for public health crises
- Coordinate multi-agency drills and tabletop exercises across state and local partners
- Lead incident command operations during public health emergencies
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform crisis mitigation strategies
- Manage public health resource deployment and logistics during emergencies
- Communicate critical updates to stakeholders and the public through multiple channels
- Train healthcare providers and emergency responders on protocols and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health emergency response
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300) or higher
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multi-agency emergency operations
- Strong data analysis and crisis communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights/weekends during emergencies
- Nebraska residency required
