Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Coordinate multi-agency disaster response efforts with FEMA, CDC, and local healthcare providers
- Lead public health surveillance systems and data-driven decision-making during emergencies
- Manage vaccination distribution points and mass care operations
- Train emergency response personnel and community stakeholders on public health protocols
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for vulnerable populations
- Oversee crisis communication strategies for multi-lingual communities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years experience in public health emergency response or disaster management
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300) or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience with public health surveillance systems and data analytics
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local emergency management frameworks
- Exceptional crisis communication skills with ability to work under extreme pressure
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (highly desirable)
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
