Join the City of Oakland's Public Health Division as a Senior Public Health Analyst and help shape equitable health outcomes for our diverse community. Responsibilities
- Analyze complex health data to identify trends, disparities, and emerging public health threats
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations and intervention strategies
- Coordinate community outreach and stakeholder engagement initiatives
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on public health emergency preparedness
- Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and data visualizations for leadership
- Advise on health equity frameworks and culturally responsive approaches
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated experience with community health assessment and intervention design
- Strong understanding of health equity principles and social determinants of health
- Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills
- Valid California Driver's License and ability to travel to community sites
