Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of food establishments, childcare centers, and public facilities
- Investigate public health complaints and enforce health code regulations
- Collaborate with community stakeholders to promote health education initiatives
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate digital records
- Respond to public health emergencies and disease outbreaks
- Train business owners on sanitation best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Environmental Science, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of regulatory inspection experience
- Certified Food Protection Manager credential (CP-FS)
- Strong knowledge of PA health codes and FDA regulations
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
