Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Coordinate multi-agency response teams including hospitals, EMS, and federal partners
- Manage public communication during emergencies ensuring accurate information dissemination
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for county infrastructure
- Oversee distribution of emergency resources and medical supplies
- Train county staff and community volunteers in emergency response procedures
- Prepare detailed after-action reports and improvement recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent credential required
- Expertise in incident command system (ICS) and NIMS protocols
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams under pressure
- Advanced knowledge of public health regulations and federal compliance
- Exceptional crisis communication and stakeholder management skills
