Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health policies aligned with CDC guidelines
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with state agencies on pandemic response and vaccination strategies
- Lead community outreach programs addressing health equity in underserved neighborhoods
- Manage grant-funded projects totaling $1M+ annually
- Prepare legislative briefings for city council and state health departments
- Oversee compliance with HIPAA and public health reporting regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years experience in government/public health policy development
- Proficiency in SPSS/R for statistical analysis and Tableau for data visualization
- Valid Kentucky driver's license with clean record
- Experience with federal grant management (HRSA, CDC funding)
- Knowledge of Affordable Care Act implementation at municipal level
- Ability to obtain security clearance for sensitive health data
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
