Responsibilities
- Develop and execute county-level emergency response plans for health crises
- Coordinate multi-agency disaster response operations with FEMA and local partners
- Lead public health surveillance during outbreaks and natural disasters
- Manage emergency supply chains and resource allocation protocols
- Conduct risk assessments for vulnerable populations and healthcare facilities
- Train public health staff on incident command systems (ICS)
- Report emergency metrics to state and federal authorities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 3+ years crisis response experience in government or healthcare
- FEMA Professional Development Series (PDS) certification required
- Incident Command System (ICS-300/400) certification
- Advanced knowledge of HIPAA and emergency health privacy laws
- Experience with ESRI GIS mapping for disaster response
- Strong grant writing skills for federal emergency funding
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
