Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency responses to public health crises (e.g., disease outbreaks, natural disasters)
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness protocols for vulnerable populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform resource allocation and strategic decisions
- Lead public communication campaigns during emergencies ensuring accurate information dissemination
- Conduct community outreach to build resilience and educate residents on safety measures
- Collaborate with state and federal agencies to align response strategies
- Prepare detailed incident reports and post-event improvement plans
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health emergency response or crisis management
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent designation preferred
- Expertise in epidemiological data analysis and visualization tools
- Proven ability to manage multi-agency collaborations under pressure
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with diverse audiences
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to work irregular hours
- Experience with emergency response software (e.g., WebEOC, EMTrack)
