Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Develop and execute bioterrorism mitigation strategies across critical infrastructure
- Lead pandemic preparedness drills with hospital and school district partners
- Analyze epidemiological data to predict outbreak trajectories
- Manage federal grant budgets ($2M+ annually) for emergency response equipment
- Train 500+ frontline responders in crisis communication protocols
- Report directly to the County Health Director during declared emergencies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or Emergency Management (required)
- 3+ years crisis response experience in government or healthcare
- FEMA certification in Incident Command System (ICS-400)
- Expertise in epidemiological modeling software (e.g., ArcGIS)
- Demonstrated success leading inter-agency disaster drills
- Active Nebraska Public Health Administrator license
- Ability to work 24/7 during declared emergencies with on-call rotations
