Responsibilities
- Coordinate public health emergency responses including disease outbreaks and natural disasters
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans for local communities
- Train healthcare providers and emergency responders on public health protocols
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform public health interventions
- Liaise with federal, state, and local agencies during emergency events
- Manage public health resource distribution during crises
- Conduct community outreach and education on emergency preparedness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Emergency Management, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public health emergency response
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300/400)
- Experience with epidemiological data analysis and reporting
- Strong communication skills for public education and inter-agency coordination
- Ability to work high-pressure situations and make critical decisions
- Valid Colorado driver's license and willingness to travel statewide
- Familiarity with Colorado's public health regulations and resources
