Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health facility inspections ensuring compliance with local/state/federal regulations
- Investigate public health complaints and implement corrective action plans
- Collect and analyze environmental health data for trend identification
- Educate stakeholders on health code requirements and best practices
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain digital compliance records
- Respond to public health emergencies during weekend shifts
- Collaborate with epidemiology teams during outbreak investigations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, or related field
- Minimum 2 years regulatory inspection experience
- Valid Colorado Public Health Inspector certification
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Fri-Mon)
- Proficient in inspection software and GIS mapping tools
- Strong knowledge of FDA Food Code and Colorado Public Health Act
- Excellent written communication skills for reporting
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
