Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health data to identify emerging health trends and community needs
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for city council and health officials
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing public health initiatives
- Manage grant-funded programs with budgets exceeding $500K
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for diverse stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with federal/state public health regulations
- Collaborate with community organizations to address health disparities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health analysis or policy development
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, or SPSS)
- Proven track record of translating data into actionable policy recommendations
- Valid California Driver's License
- Experience with public health emergency response planning
- Knowledge of CA Health & Safety Code requirements
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
