Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and prioritize intervention strategies
- Develop comprehensive public health reports and policy briefs for state leadership and stakeholders
- Coordinate cross-agency initiatives addressing health disparities in underserved communities
- Manage grant-funded projects focused on chronic disease prevention and health education
- Lead data visualization projects translating complex health metrics into actionable insights
- Mentor junior analysts and oversee quality assurance of departmental health datasets
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health data analysis and program evaluation
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated experience with health equity initiatives and community engagement
- Strong understanding of NC public health systems and federal/state regulations
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with ability to present to diverse audiences
- Valid North Carolina driver's license required
