Responsibilities
- Conduct epidemiological investigations of disease outbreaks and reportable conditions
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities to implement infection control protocols
- Collect and analyze health data to identify emerging public health threats
- Develop and deliver educational materials to diverse community groups
- Respond to public health emergencies and coordinate crisis management
- Collaborate with state and federal health agencies on compliance initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of epidemiology or public health investigation experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS)
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience working with diverse populations and community-based organizations
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends during emergencies
