Responsibilities
- Conduct epidemiological investigations for disease outbreaks and public health emergencies
- Collect and analyze epidemiological data using statistical software
- Interview cases and contacts to identify transmission patterns
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to control disease spread
- Prepare detailed investigation reports and recommend policy changes
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, laboratories, and community partners
- Provide public health education and emergency response training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of field investigation experience
- Certified in epidemiological methods (e.g., CPH, REHS)
- Proficient in data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends during outbreaks
- Nevada driver's license with clean record
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
