Responsibilities
- Conduct field investigations for communicable disease outbreaks and public health emergencies
- Perform contact tracing and case management for reportable diseases
- Collect and analyze epidemiological data using public health information systems
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, laboratories, and community partners
- Develop and implement public health intervention strategies
- Prepare detailed investigation reports and recommend control measures
- Provide health education to high-risk populations and community stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in field investigations or public health
- Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation
- Certified in Incident Command System (ICS) or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Epi Info)
- Excellent communication skills for diverse community interactions
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and emergency deployments
- Ohio resident required for position eligibility
