Responsibilities
- Analyze public health data to develop actionable policy recommendations for City Council
- Coordinate with state agencies on compliance with federal healthcare regulations
- Lead community outreach initiatives for underserved populations
- Manage grant-funded projects totaling $2M+ annually
- Prepare legislative briefings and testimony for public hearings
- Supervise junior analysts and interns in policy research
- Monitor emerging health trends and adapt strategies accordingly
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of government/public sector policy experience
- Proficiency in health data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
- Texas driver's license with clean record
- Experience with federal grant management (HRSA/CDC preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of Affordable Care Act implementation
- Strong quantitative research and statistical analysis skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
