Responsibilities
- Analyze complex health data and trends to inform state policy recommendations
- Develop comprehensive public health strategies addressing chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Collaborate with local health departments and community stakeholders on implementation
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and legislative testimony for state officials
- Monitor federal/state compliance requirements and ensure program alignment
- Lead cross-functional teams on public health emergency response planning
- Evaluate program effectiveness using KPIs and performance metrics
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Policy Analysis, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of public health policy or program analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Proven experience developing evidence-based health policy recommendations
- Strong knowledge of Texas public health systems and regulations
- Excellent written/verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Valid Texas driver's license required for field visits
