Responsibilities
- Analyze public health data to identify emerging health trends and policy gaps
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for city council and health committees
- Coordinate multi-agency initiatives on chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders and policymakers
- Manage community outreach programs to gather stakeholder input on health policies
- Evaluate program effectiveness using KPIs and adjust strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with federal/state health agencies on grant-funded initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in health policy analysis or government roles
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Expert knowledge of CDC/WHO public health frameworks
- Strong written communication with policy brief writing experience
- Valid Illinois driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience with cross-departmental collaboration in municipal settings
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
