Responsibilities
- Develop and implement county-wide public health strategies targeting underserved communities
- Manage $2M+ grant budgets and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Lead cross-functional teams of epidemiologists, data analysts, and community outreach specialists
- Analyze health data trends and prepare comprehensive reports for county leadership
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, NGOs, and government agencies to optimize resource allocation
- Oversee emergency response protocols during public health crises
- Train and mentor junior public health professionals
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive public health program management experience
- Valid Florida Public Health Administrator certification
- Expertise in health data analysis using SPSS, SAS, or R
- Proven grant writing and federal funding acquisition record
- Experience with Miami-Dade County health initiatives preferred
- Strong knowledge of CMS and CDC reporting requirements
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
