Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee comprehensive public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention, health equity, and emergency preparedness
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform strategic program design
- Manage cross-functional teams including health educators, data analysts, and community outreach specialists
- Secure and allocate grant funding to support evidence-based interventions
- Establish partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and local businesses
- Prepare detailed program reports and presentations for county commissioners and public stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with NC Public Health Standards and federal regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive public health program management experience
- Proven expertise in grant writing and federal/state funding compliance
- Advanced data analysis skills with proficiency in SPSS, R, or SAS
- Strong knowledge of NC public health statutes and accreditation requirements
- Exceptional project management and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- CHES or M.P.H. certification preferred
