Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee strategic public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify community health trends and priority intervention areas
- Lead cross-functional teams including healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies
- Secure and manage federal/state grants and funding initiatives (average $500K+ annually)
- Create evidence-based policy recommendations for county commissioners and legislative bodies
- Implement program evaluation frameworks using CDC and PHAB standards
- Represent King County at regional health coalitions and national conferences
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health (MPH) or related field with 5+ years program management experience
- Proven expertise in health equity frameworks and culturally responsive interventions
- Advanced data analytics skills (SPSS, R, or SAS) with epidemiological application
- Experience managing grants over $250K with 95%+ federal compliance
- PHAB accreditation experience or equivalent public health certification
- Valid Washington State Driver's License with clean record
- Proficiency in King County's Health Information System (HCIS)
- Demonstrated crisis management during public health emergencies
