Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting underserved communities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and recommend interventions
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response protocols for public health crises
- Develop grant proposals securing $500K+ in state/federal funding annually
- Lead community outreach initiatives to improve health literacy and access
- Monitor compliance with state/federal public health regulations and reporting requirements
- Mentor junior staff and train public health professionals on best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years implementing public health programs in government/nonprofit settings
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Demonstrated success securing public health grants
- Experience with emergency management systems (IMS/NIMS)
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish or other relevant languages
- Valid California driver's license
