Responsibilities
- Develop and implement public health intervention programs targeting underserved populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and inform policy decisions
- Coordinate multi-agency partnerships for emergency response planning and drills
- Manage grant-funded projects with budgets exceeding $500K
- Train healthcare providers on updated clinical protocols and reporting requirements
- Conduct community needs assessments and program evaluations
- Prepare legislative briefings and testify before public health committees
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years experience in public health program implementation
- Valid California Public Health Microbiologist certification preferred
- Advanced proficiency in SPSS/R for statistical analysis
- Demonstrated experience with CHIS or BRFSS datasets
- Knowledge of CA Health & Safety Code Title 25
- Experience managing federal/state grant compliance (HRSA/CDC)
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Vietnamese
