Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify public health trends and inform policy recommendations
- Develop and evaluate evidence-based health interventions for underserved San Antonio communities
- Collaborate with state legislators, county officials, and community stakeholders on health initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for executive leadership and regulatory bodies
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal/state health regulations
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing public health emergency response protocols
- Monitor legislative changes and assess potential impacts on Texas public health programs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Policy, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health analysis or policy development
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R) and health data visualization tools
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and federal/state compliance requirements
- Strong knowledge of Texas public health statutes and CMS regulations
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable policy recommendations
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel statewide as needed
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
