Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health initiatives targeting chronic disease prevention and health education
- Conduct community health needs assessments and epidemiological surveillance
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers, schools, and non-profits on health promotion campaigns
- Analyze population health data to identify trends and recommend policy interventions
- Coordinate emergency preparedness responses for public health crises
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Train community health workers and volunteers on best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (required)
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Experience with community coalition building and stakeholder engagement
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel county-wide
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
