Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify public health trends and emerging threats
- Develop evidence-based health policies and intervention strategies
- Collaborate with state/local health departments on outbreak response
- Prepare comprehensive reports for congressional stakeholders and agency leadership
- Lead cross-functional teams on special public health initiatives
- Monitor compliance with federal health regulations and guidelines
- Present findings at national conferences and scientific symposiums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of public health experience in federal/state/local government
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Knowledge of HIPAA and public health reporting regulations
- Experience with emergency preparedness and response protocols
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
