Responsibilities
- Develop and implement community health education programs targeting underserved populations
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and analyze health data trends
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for public health threats
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers to improve vaccination rates
- Manage grant applications and compliance for health initiatives
- Lead community outreach events and health screenings
- Prepare detailed reports for county commissioners and public health board
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or willingness to obtain within 12 months
- Proficiency with health data analysis tools (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R)
- Strong understanding of Texas public health regulations and CDC guidelines
- Excellent communication skills with diverse community stakeholders
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly desirable
