Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting Jacksonville's diverse communities
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and analyze health data to identify emerging threats
- Coordinate emergency response efforts during public health crises
- Develop health education materials and lead community outreach initiatives
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, schools, and non-profits to address health disparities
- Monitor compliance with public health regulations and report findings to leadership
- Apply for and manage grant funding to support health initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of public health program implementation experience
- Valid Florida Public Health Professional certification
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, or R)
- Experience with emergency preparedness protocols
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- Ability to work flexible hours during public health emergencies
- Valid Florida driver's license
