Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based health intervention programs targeting high-priority community needs
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance and analyze health data to identify emerging public health threats
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for disease outbreaks and environmental health hazards
- Forge strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies
- Lead health equity initiatives addressing social determinants of health disparities
- Prepare grant proposals and manage budgets for public health initiatives
- Train community health workers and volunteers on public health best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficient in statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, SAS) and GIS mapping
- Demonstrated success in securing public health grants
- Experience developing culturally competent health education materials
- Valid Indiana driver's license and reliable transportation
- Knowledge of local health department regulations and reporting requirements
