The Baltimore City Health Department is urgently seeking a dedicated Public Health Specialist to join our emergency response team. This critical role involves developing and implementing public health strategies to address urgent community health challenges. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the safety and well-being of Baltimore residents during public health emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Lead rapid-response public health initiatives during emergencies
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats
- Develop and distribute community health education materials
- Coordinate with local agencies to implement intervention strategies
- Monitor compliance with public health regulations and standards
- Prepare detailed reports for government stakeholders
- Train frontline staff on emergency protocols
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field
- 3+ years of public health emergency response experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Proficient in epidemiological data analysis tools
- Strong knowledge of Maryland public health regulations
- Excellent communication and crisis management skills
- Ability to work under pressure during emergencies
- Valid Maryland driver's license
