Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health interventions for disease prevention and health promotion
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and inform strategic planning
- Collaborate with community organizations to design culturally responsive outreach programs
- Lead interagency task forces for emergency preparedness and response coordination
- Draft policy recommendations and grant proposals to secure funding for health initiatives
- Conduct community needs assessments and program evaluations
- Provide expert testimony at public health board meetings and legislative hearings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government or non-profit public health roles
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS) and GIS mapping
- Demonstrated success in grant writing and program management
- Experience with health equity frameworks and community engagement
- Knowledge of federal/state public health regulations (HIPAA, CDC guidelines)
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with diverse stakeholders
