Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Conduct community health assessments and analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and local government agencies to coordinate health initiatives
- Design and deliver public health education campaigns on topics including vaccination, nutrition, and maternal health
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state public health regulations
- Prepare comprehensive reports for county leadership and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program implementation
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, or R)
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) or Public Health Certified (CPH) preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in public speaking
- Valid Maryland driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work evenings/weekends for community events
